A Study on the Computational Method of Long-term Deformation of the Recycled Aggregate Concrete Beams Based on the Oxidation Differences of Attached Mortar

Abstract:
Oxidation difference of the permanently attached mortar on the surface of the recycled aggregate is an important factor of impacting the material performance deterioration of the recycled aggregate concrete, which directly leads to increased sensitivity to the temperature effect and larger long-term additional deformations. This paper adopts the method of effective elastic modulus, and applies oxidation differences of the attached mortar of the recycled aggregate with different rates as the entry point. The creep and shrinkage adjustment coefficient of the recycled aggregate concrete is proposed with the consideration of the impacts from attached mortar. A creep-shrinkage model for the recycled aggregate concrete is constructed, which is introduced to calculate the additional curvature of the beam section. Also, the long-term deformation computational method is established for the recycled aggregate concrete beams based on the principle of virtual work.
