- Abstract:Bi‐doped TiO2/SBA‐15 (Bi‐TiO2/SBA‐15) was synthesized by wet impregnation method. A combination of XRD, XPS, Raman, N2 adsorption–desorption isotherm measurement, TEM as well as solid state UV–vis spectroscopy has been used to characterize the Bi‐TiO2/SBA‐15 materials. It was found that SBA‐15 retained the ordered hexagonal mesostructure after incorporation of TiO2 and Bi. TiO2 nanoparticles and Bi species dispersed well and anchored both in the channel and the wall of SBA‐15. The photocatalytic activity was evaluated on photodegradation of Rhodamine B (RhB) under visible light irradiation (λ≥420nm). The Experiment results indicated that Bi‐TiO2/SBA‐15 exhibited high photocatalytic activities than pure TiO2 owing to the synergetic effects of Bi species and TiO2. The calcination temperature strongly influenced the activity of the samples. The sample calcined at 550℃ shows highest photocatalytic activity in the decomposition of RhB under visible light.
