摘要:The adhesionforcesofmembrane–humic acid(membrane–HA) andHA–HA weremeasuredbyatomic force microscopy(AFM)inconjunctionwithself-mademodified membrane-coatedandHA-coated probes, respectively.Normalized flux declinerateandtheirreversiblefoulingindexoffouling experimentswithHAkeptgoodlinearcorrelationswiththeAFMforcemeasurements.Theextended Derjaguin–Landau–Verwey–Overbeek(XDLVO)theorywasusedtoexplaintheinfluence andregularity of HAsolutionpHandhydrophilicityofpolyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF)ultrafiltration (UF)membrane interface onmembranefoulingbehavior.TheresultsofAFMforcemeasurementsillustratedthatthe adhesion forceinacidicenvironmentwasmuchstrongerthanthatinalkalineorneutralenvironment and theadhesionforceofPVDF/polyvinylalcoholmembrane–HA (PA–HA) wasweakerthanthatofPVDF/ polyvinylpyrrolidonemembrane–HA (PP–HA). XDLVOtheoreticalcalculatedresultsdemonstratedthat the polarcomponentofsurfacetension ðγABÞ of membrane–foulant couldbeeffectivelyincreasedby improvingthehydrophilicityofthePVDFUFmembraneinterfaceandreducingthesolutionacidity, which resultedinthedecreaseofabsolutevaluesofthemembrane–HA interfacialfreeenergyof adhesion ðΔGAD mlf Þ, themitigationofthemembranefoulingrateandtheirreversiblefoulingdegree.The results preliminarilyprovedthatthemeasurementsofmicroscopicinterfacialforceswithmodified AFM colloidal probeshadpotentialapplicationvaluesinUFmembranefoulingbehavior.
