The Experimetal Research on Structural Behavior of Long-span Steel multi-arches

- Abstract:This paper mainly describers the stability and the defect effect of long-span steel multi-arches. The field in-situ test of long-span steel with multi-arches is conducted and the whole element model of long-span steel multi-arches is established by the ANSYS software. Then eigenvalue buckling analysis and geometrical nonlinear analysis are carried out, the buckling mode of the structure is identified and the effect of initial geometric imperfection is analyzed .Mechanism of the structure, destruction of shape and weak position are put out. Comparing with the test data and theoretical analysis, its calculated results accords well with those from the test data. The results of calculation show the stability of long-span steel multi-arches plays a control role in structural ultimate bearing capacity,and the structure is sensitive to the initial geometric defect. It is of important reference for the kind of design in security and reasonable.
