Development of Damage Diagnosis in Defect and Sensitive Structure

• Abstract:Although attention has been paid to the advantages of big-span structure,increasing span and com-plex structure form will bring about unfavorable factors,and steel structure itself has defects, such as connection,material property, fatigue,stress concentration, welding, etc, which will affcet the safety of steel structure. Therefore,big - span steel structure is known as defect and sensitive structure. Study on damage diagnosis in big – span defect and sensitive structure is introduced in this paper. The development and study of structure damage and stress detecting technology at home and aboard are analyzed. Questions of big-span steel structure needing solved at present are put forward.
