- Polytetrafluoroethylene-steel plate was chosen for the sliding support element, and the U shape steel plate was chosen for sliding-limit and energy-absorbed element. A new kind of sliding base isolation system used for frame structure was put forward to get over the defects of traditional sliding base isolation structure in this paper, which the reactions of traditional sliding structure always is increased during the earthquake. According to the analysis of the natural characteristics of vibration by SAP2000 and contrast of four kind models of structures finite element in acceleration, shear force of base and sliding displace-ment, the analyzed results showed the advantages in performance of the new kind of sliding base isolation structure. At the same time, the earthquake wave was chosen and adjusted, and the performance of sliding base isolation in different stages, different grounds, different friction coefficient and different rigidity of the energy-absorbed element was shown. It can be used for kinds of actual projects designing.
