Abstract:
The tourism industry, important in modern economy and society, creates huge wealth in a high-speed increasing, and is paid attention on its consumption of resources and the environment. How to measure quantitatively the negative impact is the difficult of tourism sustainable development. In the search for strategic of tourism sustainable development, the ecological footprint theory provides a quantitative model. Here, taking Xi'an city as an example, we calculate its TEF. Based on the traditional model, we introduce tourism revenue footprint to explain the economic situation and optimize the model.
