Separability of Fe from Cyanide Tailing by Magnetic Roasting

Abstract:
According to the properties of cyanide tailing from Lingbao, the quantitative analysis and phase analysis are chosen to define the chemical composition of the tailing, and the separability of Fe is discussed. The impacts of parameters on the recovery of Fe are probed to determine the optimal iron separation technological flow sheet from the cyanide tailing. The result indicates as the following: The recovery of Fe is completed by the once rough and twice cleaning wet low intensity magnetic separation technique. An iron ore concentrate with total iron grade of 62.69% at a recovery of 81.78% can be successfully obtained under optimum conditions like stirring intensity 1800r/min, stirring time 15min, rough magnetic field intensity 63.68KA/m, and cleaning magnetic field intensity of Ⅰand Ⅱ are 47.76, 39.80 KA/m separately.
