Dr. Wenjin Guo’s scholarly interests lie at the intersection of curriculum studies, culturally responsive pedagogy, and international higher education. Her work explores how cultural identity and philosophical traditions shape teaching, learning, and evaluation practices in diverse educational contexts. She engages with both Western and Eastern educational philosophies, particularly Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism, to inform contemporary debates on equity, justice, and intercultural dialogue.
She is especially interested in the educational experiences of international and multilingual students, with a focus on Chinese learners in global contexts, as well as the role of teacher education, STEM education, and program evaluation in advancing culturally responsive and inclusive practices. Through publications, presentations, and service, she emphasizes the transformative potential of education to bridge cultural perspectives and to foster equity, social justice, and cross-cultural understanding.
