Yan Xiuying, female, Ph.D., Associate Professor and Master’s Supervisor at the School of Building Services Science and Engineering, Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology, Deputy Director of the Institute of Intelligent Building, nationally sponsored visiting scholar at The Ohio State University, and member of the Intelligent Building and Smart City Professional Committee of Shaanxi Automation Society. Her research primarily focuses on intelligent building system modeling, optimal control, and system integration, with specific interests in areas such as load forecasting for air conditioning systems and demand response.

  She has published over 10 SCI and EI papers and holds more than 30 authorized national patents and software copyrights. She teaches courses including "Public Security Technology"and "System Identification", and was honored with the university-level “Rising Star in Teaching” award in 2012. She also contributed to a teaching reform project that won the First Prize of Teaching Achievement Award at Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology. She guided students to win the First Prize (2016) in the 8th “Yalong Cup” National College Student Intelligent Building Engineering Practice Skills Competition and the National Second Prize (2016) in the 11th “Huawei Cup” China Graduate Electronic Design Contest. She has also supervised students to receive awards in the Joint Graduation Design of Building Electrical and Intelligentization multiple times, most recently guiding her students to win the Excellent Award in the 2025 Joint Graduation Design.
